Hot Forging, It’s What We Do
Forging is a manufacturing process where solid metal is formed into a specific shaped by applying localized compressive forces from hammering or pressing. Hot forging involves heating of the metal to a specific temperature before forming occurs reducing the strain rate of the metal making it easier to form into complex shapes.
Why Forge?
Forgings are STRONG. As the metal is shaped during the forging process its internal grain structure deforms to follow the general shape of the part. By compressing the grain structure and creating a grain flow, strength characteristics of the part are increased. This improvement in part strength is why forgings are specified when safety, strength and reliability important.
Our company has been helping customers by providing solutions for forge metal products for over 50 years. Whether you have a specific forging you need a source for or have a part that needs to be developed into a forging, Edgerton Forge can help.
Edgerton Forge is Your Ideal Partner in Success for:

Materials Forged
Stock Size Ranges
Forgings Engineered
By focusing on what is important to you, optimized part design is achieved through collaborative discussion. Critical feature knowledge is then designed into every step of the process from concept to production. This ensures that your needs are met while providing a shape that is efficient to forge.
Simulation analysis is performed as needed to verify metal flow characteristics and finished part integrity prior to manufacturing of any parts or tooling.
Providing Service To You
You need a supplier that is flexible, meeting your needs, saving you effort. Edgerton Forge serves our customers by providing all levels of product support.
